Review of Central Intelligence (2016) by Robby K — 27 Jul 2016
"Central Intelligence" relies on the chemistry of Johnson and Hart for the entire length of the film. Most of the comedy comes from The Rock, which was a good decision as it lets us get a break from the tired screaming and boring short jokes that Kevin Hart always has in his films (although they aren't completely absent in this movie either).
It's a strange, yet oddly funny take on a pseudo Buddy-Cop movie, and it somehow has you guessing the whole time. The technical aspects of the film are not good to say the least, but the rest of the film makes up for those flaws.
