I was totally ready for a comedy starring Dwayne Johnson & Kevin Hart when I saw the first trailer for this movie. The first I was thinking though is, will it be cheesy. The first trailer gave me this vibe that it was going to be a run of the mill comedy but I am happy to say that it wasn't the case.

It was somewhat fresh and original. Dwayne Johnson plays a character that you have never seen him like before. A awkward and goofy man with a sad high school past. The movie opens with an hilarious montage with high school Dwayne Johnson as an overweight individual.

I have to say that this is one of the better putting someone elses face on another body scenes. It really felt like Dwayne Johnson was really this overweight. As the bullying begins on him after he is thrown out naked in the middle of a gym assembly for Kevin Hart's high school character, we learn that Hart is not your typical jock.

He feels sad for Johnson and gives him his jacket to cover himself. Well, twenty years later, that favor may come back to haunt him. Johnson wants to reunite with Hart before their high school reunion.

Here, Johnson plays the awkwardness very well. He is still the goofy person he still was in high school. As the night progresses, Johnson gets into a fight with some bar assholes, and asks Hart for help with his finances as Hart is an accountant.

Little do we know that this is the start of some espionage undercover stuff. The CIA shows up trying to arrest Johnson for wanting to trade american secrets and Hart buys into it at first. This leads to some hilarious scenes in Hart's office building where he begins to trust Johnson's character.

Chase and fight scenes go on and the laughs as well. I won't go into the plot so much more now cause believe it or not, there are some twists in the film that I don't want to go into spoiler territory with.

The film does a great job handing the plot twists very well and there was a couple that surprised me a bit. That aside, Kevin Hart is downright hilarious in this film. This is probably the funniest I have ever seen him and I loved him in The Wedding Ringer.

His facial expressions and screaming just make me want to kick and scream on the floor with laughter. Dwayne Johnson has a lot of fun with this role and I liked seeing him play this awkward character.

He played it very convincing. All in all, the film runs at a very good pace and has a decent story with a few good twists thrown in. Johnson and Hart play very well off each other and have great comedic chemistry.

I am hoping we may see more of them in a sequel together. I am looking forward to seeing them team up again in the upcoming "Jumanji" remake.
