Review of Center Stage (2000) by Stephen M — 28 Mar 2008
Ya know... It's ok. When I was a teen we had FAME. I'm not sure what previous generations had but the year 2000 had Center Stage and it's not bad. It's got gorgeous dancing and gorgeous kids. It's got gorgeous music and gorgeous New York. It's got gorgeous Donna Murphy and gorgeous Peter Gallagher. All of that makes up for the sometime not so gorgeous dialoge and acting.
Look for legendary New York actors Debra Monk and Priscilla Lopez in small parts, not to mention some of Broadways BEST dancers.
I really like this picture, in spite of doofy flaws.
