Review of Center Stage (2000) by Matt H — 12 Jan 2009
The problem with movies like this is that they have to find actors that can dance. In this case I think it is even harder to find actors that can do Ballet. So therefore you get ballet dancers who try to act and it all ends up a mess.
Also the people that make these type of movies obivously have actors that everyone knows, so the movie doesn't completely tank, but they can't dance so when their character has to dance they have doubles and therefore have to do wind angle, far away shots so you can't see their face.
It's just dumb.
