Review of Cemetery Man (1994) by Gavin A — 19 Aug 2007
Never heard of this one til recently, but glad I saw it. Really well shot, very pretty and artistic looking but also with great action camerawork (exploding heads etc). Reminded me of lots of good films, Evil Dead especially, but with a more philosophical vibe to it, great humour, unpredictable, just a very good film.
Maybe wont suit all zombie fans as the undead in this film aren't particularly hardcore ( some of them even politely knock on doors before attacking!), but this also adds to the humour (such as the scene where Francesco idly caps a couple of zombies while having a chat to his mate on the phone).
Basically a zombie film for art-house cinema lovers, or something more thought-provoking than usual for the gore fans.
