Review of Cemetery Man (1994) by Ian B — 28 Jan 2008
One of the craziest and most original zombie films you'll ever see. There's really no way you can describe this movie. It's filled with zombies, romance, action, gore, comedy, sex, guns....
Its got a little bit of everything in it. Director Michele Soavi brings some amazing visuals and a bizarre tone to the film. There are plenty of surprises in the story, although things tend to fall apart a little in the final act.
I can overlook it though, because this movie is just so original and enjoyable. The characters are well drawn out and developed, Rupert Everett gives a fantastic performance and there's more than enough zombie action and gore for die hard fans.
This might be a little too bizarre for some people, but its become one of my favorites over the years. Definitely worth adding to your DVD collection.
