Review of Cemetery Man (1994) by Ken C — 27 Jan 2011
An underrated classic in my opinion. Cemetary man follows a lonely British man by the name of Francesco Dellamorte who lives and works in the cemetary with his only friend who I forget his name. Once in a blue moon the dead rise from there graves and go over to Francesco's little home only to get shot. It gets lonely being a cemetary man so he finds this girl who gets turned on by creepy caves and dead things, everything about her is fake she has fake lips, fake boobs, and fake everything else, she's very unappealing. He eventually wins her over and has sex with her on her fathers grave witch leads to her getting bitten and dying by her father's dead corpse. After that Francesco becomes very depressed, but than a girl who looks exactly like the girl he met before comes along and he starts falling for her.....ok. The same exact thing happens over and over and over again but it's done very well and theres a couple subplots thrown in involving Francesco's friend falling in love with a talking severed head.
It has the right amount of humor, horror, and just ubsurd weirdness that you would expect from a David Lynch movie or any movie similar to his. If your into that kind of stuff than this movie is just your cup of tea, it was for me and I didn't even like many of the famous David Lynch movies. It can get very disturbing but the movie makes up for it with it's hilarious sense of humor. Theres a scene where he meets the Grim Reaper (literally) and he tells him to go around shooting people in the head. It doesn't make much sense either but it's one of those movies where you just go along with what's happening without asking questions.
Check it out if your a fan of movies that are like anything that I just described, and even if your not watch it any way it's a truly unforgettable movie watching experience.
