Review of Cemetery Junction (2010) by S N — 23 Aug 2010

CJ - I think this is the directorial debut of Ricky Gervais and I read his blog a bit when it was being filmed, I didnt read many reviews of this film, but I had high hopes being an old school RG fan since many years.

All in all - a bit disappointed I have to say. This is probably supposed to be a romantic comedy but there arent enough laughs nor sobby moments to make it either. I did snigger a few times, mainly at the dick jokes which really werent that funny, except for when someone tips their fagash into the old man's going away present of a cut glass bowl - that was funny.

The acting was passable, none of the actors were given enough of a character to develop so mostly they just did their jobs.

Ok running out of time. good but could do better.
