Review of Cemetery Junction (2010) by Brad G — 29 Aug 2010
A disappointingly typical coming-of-age tale from the normally reliable wit of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The film is not bad. It's decent. But it's a road that's been hoed endless times before and often more deftly.
And Christian Cooke's wannabe insurance salesman is such a dull lead amongst oddball characters like Jack Doolan's Snork or the thick-rimmed porn lovin' short order cook down the street. Again, not a bad movie, but a decent blah film is sometimes just as annoying.
