Review of Cemetery Junction (2010) by Ana B — 09 Dec 2010
Mix of coming of age comedy and melodrama. Set in a boring suburban town in the 70's England this the movie follows the lives of three young friends with similar backgrounds but with different expectations.
The plot is easy to follow and the message of the movie is straight forward.
It is beautifully filmed and photographed. Very good performances from the actors, the younger ones are unknown but they nail their roles of fresh but slightly disappointed young men.
By far the best of the movie are the dialogues, funny, witty and smart especially the ones with Ricky Gervais.
This is uncomplicated good fun seasoned with celebrated great hits of the time. Watch it!
