Review of Celeste & Jesse Forever (2012) by Sol C — 21 Aug 2012

Rashida Jones is the best reason to see this film. She shines in the leading role. She co-wrote a good script too, with sharp witty dialog. The film reminded me of films like The Break Up and When Harry Met Sally.

All of the actors did a great job in their supporting roles. The biggest problem that I had with this film was Andy Samberg. He was miscast in the role of Jesse. The only film that I have seen that Andy was good in was I Love You Man, which has Rashida in it.

Another actor in the Jesse role would have made everything better. Jason Segel, Paul Rudd, Justin Long, Jason Biggs, or even Sean William Scott would have done a much better job in the role of Jesse. The film is only worth checking out for Rashida Jones's performance.
