Review of Celebrity (1998) by Peter D — 25 Mar 2008

Love this Woody Allen satire about the world of celebrity ala Dolce Vita, about a writer who's desperately trying to fit into the celebrity scene while his ex wife accidentally stumbles into it without trying.

I watched it when it came out in theaters and love it still. One of my Allen favs. I love the mix of the sad, tragic story line with the very humorous scenes and situations throughout. My favorite line: "Did the skinheads eat all the bagels??" The beginning and ending with the letters in the sky is just beautiful beyond words.
