Review of Cedar Rapids (2011) by Suzan Suzi G — 08 Dec 2011
A comedy set in the unusual context of an insurance salespeopleâ??s summit. Those of us familiar with conventions and conferences will have laughs at the sheer familiarity of it, but we will also wish that our conventions were as much fun and wild as this one! Ed Helms plays an astonishingly naïve salesman from a small town working hard for success.
It takes a little bit of patience to get the flow of the movie ( I was getting irritable in the first half at the exaggerated naivetà (C) of Helms), but it picks up its pace in the second half and concludes satisfactorily.
