By the book indie comedy. Nothing original is done here. This is a genre that has absolutely become mediocre. They've become cliche. Pumped out by the indie factory. Look at the cinematography. It looks exactly like Sunshine Cleaning! They're ripping off each other's color timing filters now!!! "Cedar Rapids" biggest fault however is that it isn't very funny.
Great cast, all celebrated alums from better television shows, but the material here is akin to a bad cable pilot.
