Review of Cecil B. Demented (2000) by Scott B — 07 Aug 2007
This really is the daftness film ever made. But its a flawed daftness. A brilliant concept, half-heartedly played out. Waters brings his usually kookiness to the show, but only really tip toes across the sands of Hollywood.
Dorff is good, Griffith is alright, but the film lacked a cutting edge, it coudl have been more vicious, nastier, but hence be its just a flat glass of coke. Bloated and in dire need of being devoured.
Some nice touches tho such Forrest Gump 2, all the main characters have their fav director tatooed on their arms, and Griffith setting her hair on fire. Oh and Patty Hearst is in it.
