The comic-book style scene transitions make a blah movie even worse. Who knew the story behind a club as renowned as CBGB is so boring? (Or mostly boring, since this is a mostly true story, as per the opening credits.
) The transitions got annoying fast and it shows that the filmmakers felt the film needed a gimmick, that it wasn't good enough to stand on its own. (They're right, mind you, but this gimmick doesn't help.
).
