Well worth it. It'll be sad when this is out of theatres and still nobody has 3D tvs, for it will not be possible to get the full experience or really anything approximating it at home on a flatscreen.
I wish more of the great archaeological finds in our vast world were given this level of depth of treatment. I suppose many folks have never heart of the Chauvet Cave find. Good of Mr. Herzog to lend his technique and name to the subject and present it in a straightforward, ponderous way.
