Review of Cave of Forgotten Dreams (2010) by Ross M — 10 Jun 2011
This was a really interesting documentary from a man who is a master filmmaker - Werner herzog. How informative and contemplative this is WOW !! the 3D actually works here for a change. It was shot on a very small mobile camera so as not too damage anything inside the cave.
Drawing's date back as far as 30,000 yrs ago !!! They are so life like and well detailed it's astonishing. It really is the start of painting and also of art itself too. I have to say Herzog comes out with some very funny statement's and observations in this but that's the way he does this type of film.
Very highly recommended !!!
