I love Herzog, so it probably isn't surprising that I love his latest effort. I was not prepared for the artistry he brings to the 3D format though. Lots of interesting play with perspective when filming people.
Beautiful care taken when filming the paintings and other features of the cave. Terrific film, completely suitable for all ages (little kids would probably be bored). Very meditative, philosophical, beautiful.
The last 10 minutes or so is almost all just un-narrated film of the paintings.
