Mesmerisingly meditative study of the Chauvet cave complex in France. Herzog spends the first half asking questions and setting up the "heist", before laying out a paean of thanks to the art bestowed upon us by Palaeolithic man.
The playful coda adds an element of fun as Herzog muses on the consciousness of albino Crocodiles.
