Review of Cave of Forgotten Dreams (2010) by Veronica D — 19 Sep 2011
An elegant documentary that illustrates that the human need for self-expression is timeless and universal. These cave etchings were rendered with a surprisingly sophisticated understanding of perspective.
The viewer feels touched by the ancient artist with the crooked little finger. I was honored to view these lovingly preserved artifacts. I was honored too to partake of the creative collaboration of this film as well: the director, the writer, the musicians, the archeologists, scientists, editors, techinicians, et al.
To be in the presence of acts of creation, old and new, is to be in the presence of the divine.
