Review of Cave of Forgotten Dreams (2010) by Liam P — 26 Jun 2012
While I wouldn't quite say it was as good as the critics made it out to be, Cave of Forgotten Dreams is quite interesting. The shots are really cool and the insights on how we may not be so different from these cavemen and how these ancient humans lived were again, interesting.
The cave paintings were really cool and to see possibly the first work of art ever is amazing. However, I thought that cave paintings can only be so interesting and after the several times of panning up and down, side to side of a single cave drawing, I was started to be bored.
Not that the narration was boring, which it wasn't, in fact that was what made it good. Another thing that I liked a lot was the creepy, but suiting music that played as you just were forced to just look at the paintings.
Maybe I wasn't "spellbinded" because I didn't see it in 3-D, but nonetheless I was fascinated for about 3 quarters of the film.
