Herzog's voice over is at time rigid and harsh, but the words he springs together at times are so interesting that I could listen to excerpts of his narration in my car. When the visuals are added to the mix, including all of the computer renderings, the film transports you to a different time and place altogether.
Which, is what a good documentary should do.
