Review of Catwoman (2004) by J K — 27 Mar 2010
Ugh. Manages to turn a sexy movie about a beloved comic book character into one of the worst movies ever made. In the same conversation as Battlefield Earth and Pluto Nash in terms of worst movies ever and features maybe some of the worst dialogue in movie history.
Seriously. Listen to what these people say in this film. A kindergarten coloring book has more intelligence than this movie's dialogue. What's even more puzzling is this came out shortly after Halle Berry won her Best Actress Oscar and features Oscar winner Sharon Stone.
WTF? with a capital WTF? Now I know this is based on a comic book and wasn't meant to be taken seriously. I mean, c'mon, a catfight between Halle Berry and Sharon Stone???? This was meant strictly as a T&A flick.
But it sure tries to take itself seriously, which is where this movie falls apart. Benjamin Bratt you should've never left Law & Order dude. I'd take Michelle Pfeiffer and her Catwoman from Batman Returns anyday.
