Review of Cat's Eye (1997) by Kevin S — 01 Jul 2012
This movie has three stories which has a cat involved in all three. The first has a guy going to this stop smoking group run by this sadistic doctor. The doctor threatens his family if he does not quit smoking.
The guy that has a smoking problem named Dick is played by James Woods. I enjoyed watching him and I think this first story was probably the best of all three stories. The second story has a group of people making a bet on if a cat can cross the highway without getting hit.
Whoever wins the bet gets $2,000. They guy that loses gets the guy that won and forces him to walk on a high ledge on a building to win his money that he bet on. It's pretty interesting. And the last story has drew Barrymore playing this little girl who gets tortured by a little troll only have a cat come to her rescue.
I have never read any of these stories from famed aurthor Stephen King. I like to read his books. I heard he wrote the screenplay and was disapointed with the results and thought the cat a distraction and done clumsy.
I thought some of it actually was humerous and suprisingly I enjoyed it.
