This is the second movie in the Cats & Dogs series. I watched it in Blu-Ray 3D which made a huge difference in the likeability of the movie. The plot is about as thin as the first movie. There were some great kudos to James Bond movies (similar style opening title, Kitty Galore vs Pussy Galore, P rather than Q and Roger Moore the voice of chief good-cat).
The 3D was highly visible in this real-world action movie; the blend of 3D real world with CG animals and scenes was clean and impressive. I was far more excited about the 3D than about the contents of the movie.
Bottom line, 2D don't bother, 3D yep, see it.
