Review of Catfish (2010) by Larry A — 10 May 2011
Only thing I found interesting about this movie is how in the 9 hells did they talk anyone into pushing this to the big screen. We have an obviously mentally challenged woman that created an online persona that included several made up characters and then we have the Frat boy like lead characters that decide to stalk and humiliate the woman on Camera.
I saw them break several laws including the removal of USPS mail from a mail box that like idiots they filmed. (can anyone say federal crime?) did it even occur to anyone that stealing mail from a mailbox is a federal offence and punishable by federal prison time? The big mystery here is that anyone found this "Movie" (and I use that term loosely) anything more than pathetic.
But then again in an age when kids falling off skateboards and racking their crotch is considered entertainment it should come to no surprise that 3 guys stalking a sad woman could be a theatrical accomplishment.
