Incredibly interesting but uneven quasi-documentary. The debate over the authenticity of the film is unavoidable - I personally think much of the earlier parts of the film were fabricated, not so convincingly at first, but increasingly so as it gets into some well-crafted suspense territory.
Things shift gears for a final act that's a surprising, heartbreaking character study. Not really the film that was advertised, and not entirely successful, but a fascinating piece of work.
