Review of Catfish (2010) by Erich R — 19 Sep 2011
A perfect film of its kind - you see the crash coming, but you want to be gullible the way our 'hero' is...and then....
It really just keeps getting better, and while saying a lot about the new world we are all moving into, it also says a lot about how human beings' needs and desires are ever the same.
But the elements of forgiveness and acceptance - and there is nothing hokey here, not a false note - that this comes out of the experience, and perhaps partly because of the nature of the new ways we are connecting with each other - that is not only effective storytelling and very moving, but says a lot about the good that may come out of the way we interact with each other through our new technologies.
