Review of Catfish (2010) by Trevor R — 10 Apr 2013
I have no idea why this documentary was advertised as some sort of Hitchockian thriller (it isn't), but it's compelling stuff, regardless. "Catfish" is thoughtful and strange, and provides a glimpse into some dark corners of contemporary internet culture.
It doesn't always feel like there's enough material to support the length (And Nev can get annoying), but it's still quite effective. Surprisingly moving, too.
