There is no purpose to the movie. The movie is obviously trying to pay homage to Quentin Tarantino, or just plainly ripping him off. At the end of this movie people will be going to themselves... Wha? Three people I really enjoy are in this.
Bruce Willis is, um, interesting, in his role, but watching him I was wondering how much he sold himself for for this role. Shea Whigham, from Boardwalk Empire, is good in a throwaway role. Then there is Forrest Whitaker, the ONLY saving grace of this film.
He is great as a character that would have been laughable in anyone else's hands. Malin Ackerman is WOEFULLY miscast in this movie.
