Catch That Kid is an action/adventure movie for kids blended in with some comedy. Directed by Bart Freundlich this movie isn't too great.

Maddie (Kristen Stewart) is a rock-climbing 12 year old girl. The plot develops early as Maddie's dad injures himself 9 (he trips while dancing?) and needs a 250,000 dollar surgery. So Maddie enlists the help of her two friends Gus (Max Thierot) and Austin (Corbin Bleu) to rob the bank (her mom designed the security system). I could tell you the whole plot so you definitely wouldn't go but I'll stop.

The acting in Catch That Kid is quite simply downright terrible. Kristen Stewart was supposedly more promising in Panic room and her friends debuts will be her friends finales more then likely. When Jennifer Beals is your best actor/ress by far that is saying something, and that something isn't good either.

Catch That Kid is rated PG for language, thematic elements, and rude humor. I read some complaints about the idea (thematic elements) but the movie isn't rated G. There is more sexual content, violence, and peril in Looney Tunes. I would say it is appropriate for anybody that knows robbing the bank is not an option for getting money.

Catch That Kid is one bad movie. It is another lame ripoff of the first two Spy Kids as since then we have had same ideas but not the same results in movies such as this, Spy Kids 3, and Thunderbirds (based on what I have heard. If you laugh, you'll be laughing at how bad the jokes are. Lastly, it is extremely predictable. I hated it but I am not the targeted audience (I'm a 14 year old boy) which is why I give 2/10.
