Review of Catch Me If You Can (2002) by Carlos R — 23 Jul 2013
Catch Me If You Can is a peculiar movie in Steven Spielberg's filmography since it's so different from the rest. His trademark classic, adventurous and straightforward filmmaking is almost absent from this movie, and instead this dark-humor filled picture is stylized, upbeat and a bit "modern" perhaps, although its serious moments are pure Spielberg.
Its comedic tones are hilarious and its charm is delightful. Although I did not love it or like it as much as other films made by this master of filmmaking, I cannot deny how great and impeccable it was in nearly every department. As far as the performances is concerned, Hanks, DiCaprio and Walken were excellent.
I cannot wait to watch it again because it has been like 6 years more or less since the only time I saw it.
