Review of Catch Me If You Can (2002) by Natalie F — 17 Nov 2012
A strong story which is highlighted by humour and depth. In an enjoyable role reversal of good-guy/bad-guy our protagonist is a forger trying to find a place in the world while the antagonist is a law abiding agent trying to track him down.
The laughs are light but there, but what really gets you is the character development. DiCaprio's disenfranchisement from his family, and the fear/respect relationship he has for his captor is impressive and human.
It's a good film that has just bettered with age.
