Review of Catch Me If You Can (2002) by Angel G — 29 Dec 2012
Steven Spielberg did one of the best movies ever made and Leonardo DiCaprio was perfectly cast in the role of Frank Abagnale Jr. The story is very interesting, the script is great, the music is flawless, loved the editing, and the performances are nothing but spectacular.
DiCaprio mostly because he just demonstrates Frank in a perfect way, he was witty, funny, emotional, smart and fantastic in the role. Tom Hanks delivers a lot of charisma, he was determined and fierce in the role.
Then Christopher Walken who is always great, he was witty and smooth and I liked how DiCaprio's character learned about lying from his father. The only concern I have is that Walken's great performance got a nomination at the Oscar's for Supporting Role, but Leo's brilliant and magnetic turn got completely overlooked, and that's a little sad.
However, it's still a powerful journey about friendship and father-son bonding, and its entertaining and true premise is fascinating, which makes all greater then it already is.
