Review of Catch and Release (2006) by Tom B — 25 May 2011
A comment on the vagaries of love and loss. Woman finds out after the death of her fiance that he was seeing another woman and supporting her child. She eventually falls in love with one of her husband's friends who had sex with the caterer at the funeral. She rejects the one character who had been true to her throughout. Two misfits find each other. Is life/love random? One wonders how long the relationships at the end of the film will last.
Perhaps better as a buddy movie -- how guys react to the death of a mate.
