Review of Catch-22 (1970) by Stuart M — 17 Sep 2007
The book was a fantastic read, and even though I was young when I read it first it entranced me. I was ready to be disappointed by the film but that did not happen. The amazing cast help make the film every bit as good as the book, Alan Arkin and Jon Voight in particular.
Even though they are both the same story, they both work in very different ways.
My God, I just remembered the scene with the mad doctor who never wants to be seen - that is one of the best ever in a film.
