Review of Catch-22 (1970) by Bill T — 20 Feb 2015
God, this is why I love watching every single movie I can get my hands on. Sure I'll see duds, but once in awhile. you'll come across movies you've sort of heard of, but never seen, didn't really have an inching to see, you see it, and you instantly love it.
Catch-22 is so one of these films, an amazing satire of war starring Alan Arkin, it's too widescape to fully describe, it's just an experience. A great comparison to Gilliam's Brazil could be made here at the surreal weirdness going on.
Just awe-struck by this one.
