Review of Cat People (1982) by Steve R — 10 Jan 2009
Paul Schrader's erotic remake of Jacques Tourneur's 1942 classic about an innocent young woman (Nastassia Kinski) who is subject to feline metamorphosis when aroused. This stylish, bloody and sexy offering contains the hit David Bowie theme song, "Putting Out Fire".
Good music score by Giorgio Moroder. Co-starring Malcolm McDowell as the similarly cursed brother pushing for incest.
