Review of Cat People (1942) by Carl B — 21 Jul 2007
Val Lewton was given only a title to work with and with it gave the world the story of a woman afraid of her power over men and men who believe she's not just powerless but delusional. What it lacks in "special effects" it makes up for in character development and conflicts that really drives the story.
I'd recommend this to anyone looking for something engaging and unexpected.
