Review of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958) by John H — 17 Jan 2012
Powerful drama based on Tennessee Williams' play that while it waters down some of the then controversial aspects of the play is still a top notch piece of dramatic cinema.Excellently directed by Richard Brooks, this is very engaging and genuinely compelling stuff.
Paul Newman,Elizabeth Taylor and Burl Ives are all outstanding in the leads and were deservedly Oscar nominated for their work.Superb film.
