Casualties of War offers a very tough look at the cruelty americans inflict during the Vietnam War. Brian De Palma does a good job showing us a new look at what war does to a person, the direction is Impressive, the Screenplay is good too, because it was written by a Vietnam Vet.
Micheal J. Fox is Very Well Cast and gives one of his best performances. newcomer Thuy Thu Le is surprisingly good as the vietnamese prostitue. Sean Penn is very intense and gives of the most inhumane performances in film history.
I Enjoyed this film because it offers something new, but it's hard to watch.
