Review of Casualties of War (1989) by Joe S — 20 Jun 2007
Uncompromisingly gruelling tale of life on patrol in Vietnam (based on a true incident), but given masterly cinematic treatment, with a haunting imprint on the mind. It is also an intelligently realistic view of the generation of young, naive American youth at the time, and is in parts superbly acted.
