Review of Castle of Blood (1964) by Taru S — 28 Oct 2008
Pales in comparison to Mario Bava's masterpieces, but has redeeming qualities. Although Danza macabra contains many moments of unintentional comedy, overall it is carefully designed, complete with classical B&W photography.
The story itself is highly original, so the resulting film is at least intriguing and enjoyable, although not overwhelming.
