Review of Cast Away (2000) by Matt M — 16 Jan 2013
Outside of the desrted island, this film lacks momentum; the intro and ending are long and tedious. However, this tale about an everyday man who must adapt to his new setting and become an unlikely Robinson Crusoe is a gripping tale of survival, and the little things become important elements for sharp plot developments.
On top of that, Tom Hanks plays quite a difficult part with great skill.
