Review of Casshern (2004) by Peter H — 08 Dec 2007
This movie rips off the matrix in a few scenes (robot design and industrial metal music) but all in all has a pretty spectacular style in its own! The CGI fight scenes kick ass and the green screen overlays are pretty much flawless.
There are a few moments where the CGI lacks a bit but it is made up with the overall creativity used to mix rusty industrial equipment with futuristic technology. I enjoyed the ending and the "moral" of the story but still have a few unanswered questions.
Like, "What the hell is with the giant lightening bolt?!".
