Review of Casshern (2004) by Maria C — 23 Feb 2008
Wow this movie sucked. It reminded me of the movie, "Curse of the Golden Flower" mixed with "American Beauty" (both of which I wish I hadn't seen). Set in the war ravaged future, the hopelessness of mankind and its never ending cycle of anger, fighting and hatred dominates the plot.
There are flashes of hope where the characters determine for themselves that they will try to stop the fighting and forgive their enemies. But they fail.
