I can't imagine anyone but otaku's and emo-riddled, angst-filled teenagers enjoying this film. It has high style, but like post-modern art it's an acquired taste. If you're looking for good sci-fi, pass this one up.
It's more a "fantasy / anime comic book" in the guise of a sci-fi movie.
