Review of Cass Timberlane (1947) by Jo D — 14 Apr 2012

I love Spencer Trace movies but this one is a sleeper. This film drags on, has a good storyline but could have been written better. In the opening scene we see Cass Timberlane denying a divorce and stating what marriage should mean to two people.

As the movie progresses his own marriage falls apart. In the closing scene when he takes Jinny his wife back he see a hint of his values on marriage coming through from the opening scene.
