Review of Casper's Haunted Christmas (2000) by Bill T — 09 Dec 2014
Merry Christmas and a Happy Boo Year!
Kibosh is the ruler of all ghosts and has a rule that every ghost on Earth has to scare one human per year; and guess who hasn't met their quota? Casper. Casper and his family of ghosts are sent to Christmas, Massachusetts in hopes of getting Casper to scare one human. Can Casper achieve this goal or will the spirit of Christmas prevent him from scaring anyone and get him and his family banished from Earth.
"We really are ghosts!".
"You method actors.".
Owen Hurley and Kris Zimmerman collaborate to deliver Casper: The Haunted Ghost. The storyline for this picture is just okay but fun to watch unfold and the animation style was better than I anticipated. I enjoyed the mixture of the ghost and Christmas plot.
"It's our first date and I'm not that kind of ghost.".
We grabbed this off Netflix and my daughter and I watched it together this holiday season. She loved it and was glued to the television from beginning to end. I didn't think this is a classic or elite in any way, but it was entertaining and worth a viewing.
"Halloween, now that's a good holiday!".
Grade: C+.
